Why is this IMPORTANT and what is “The big VISION”?

As I finished writing my MBA Thesis on “Strategies for business development for wineries through tourism” several things became very clear:

  • The wine customer is a very complicated matrix of internal and external forces.
  • Although they have completed really revolutionary research work, Doctoral researchers are convinced that we are at the very beginning of our understanding of wine customers and they advocate further study.
  • As an industry, we are considered a bit behind the times in terms of technology utilisation.

At first, I think I was a bit offended (of course, I know my customers!).  Then, as I got over it, I began to wonder how much I could learn if I became more curious.

So I took 12 months and researched and built a survey system that would give us a 360° look at our customers and our sales & service operations.  It reviews the levels of success of what is and explores the possibilities of what could be.  It creates 2-way communications that establish and strengthen relationships.

The success of our testing was beyond any expectation I had!  The system works beautifully.  It proves that our customers want us to succeed and they will help us do it.

So what’s the big VISION?

Business is about helping people.

Not only that, it is about helping people in the way that THEY want to be helped.  With our businesses we are make an immense amount of decisions.  Most of our decisions are made within the context of limited time and information.  We know going in that some decisions with be superstars and others, well, not so super…

Our mission at SWSI, LLC is to provide wineries with a connection to their customers and potential customers that will help winery people make decisions and develop and maintain relationships.

The big VISION is to establish a wealth of knowledge and resources that facilitate the co-creation of immense customer VALUE in the most efficient way possible.

This VISION leads to more happy customers visiting more happy wineries (and the ensuing exchange of value!)
